2025 The Beauty of Bonaventure Calendar

Bring the splendor of Bonaventure Cemetery into your home the whole year round with the "Beauty of Bonaventure Cemetery" 2025 calendar. A staple of Savannah, Georgia history, Bonaventure Cemetery is known the world over as one of the most beautiful cemeteries, and a destination all its own. As John Muir famously described Bonaventure, "If that burying-ground across the Sea of Galilee, mentioned in Scripture, was half as beautiful as Bonaventure, I do not wonder that a man should dwell among the tombs."

This calendar features stunning photographs of Bonaventure cemetery, in addition to special dates that are specific to its history. 

Proceeds from calendar sales benefit The Cemetery Angels, Inc. This non-profit was created to raise awareness for our cemeteries and provide funding for restoration projects and educational opportunities.

Dick Bjornseth is an award-winning artist and photographer, whose work has been featured in 14 solo and over 40 other exhibitions around the country. He served 18 years as a professor with the Savannah College of Art and Design, and now lives in Beaufort, SC. Bjornseth received two Presidential Fellowships from SCAD, including a photo series "Exotic Tropics", and another photo survey, "Modern Relics: Mid-Century Florida Roadside Remnants."

Megan Morgan developed a deep love and appreciation for cemeteries during her childhood, where she spent many hours wandering amongst the tombstones of her family's cemetery in the town of Is-en-Bassigny, France. She also began drawing and painting at an early age, as her family sometimes jokes "she drew before she walked". The winner of several county and state level art awards, including first place in The North Carolina Farm City Art Show, Megan was accepted into North Carolina State University's School of Graphic Design in 2005. Though her career ultimately took a turn towards veterinary science and education, art is still a priority in her life, and you can find her working on a number of graphic design, videography, photography, and painting projects in her free time. 

Shannon Scott has soaked up Savannah and The Low Country at every level for over 30 years. Arriving as a Fine Arts student of The Savannah College of Art & Design (SCAD), he became a regular at The Georgia Historical Society and, as a conversationalist, earned the graces of many locals — from the richest to the poorest — and absorbed their stories and those of their friends and family. In 2010, Shannon sold his tour company and opened Shannon Scott Tours & Events, placing major emphasis on cemeteries and unique cultural events related to them.
